Mixing with the locals
Egipto, the poor and high-crime neighborhood above La Candelaria, is not normally a tourist destination. But for three days every January the neighborhood celebrates the Festival of the Three Kings who the Bible says brought gifts to the new-born Jesus.
The festival includes religious events, but most of it involves fun, friendliness, food, drink and games. When Bogotá Bike Tours visited, everyone wanted to be friends.
